The ongoing pandemic has changed a lot in our everyday lives, so much so that visiting a dentist for a routine consultation would seem worrying. However, there is absolutely nothing to be scared of while visiting our dental practice as we follow strict protocols to ensure the safety of our patients and ourselves. Here is what you can expect during a dental appointment with us.
SCHEDULING THE CONSULTATION
When you reach out to us on-call or online, we will make sure that you are in a healthy condition by asking you a set of questions about your current health state. We request you to be prompt with the responses to ensure the safety of yourself, our staff, and other patients visiting the practice. Basis the responses and the type of oral concern you’re seeking treatment, your consultation will be scheduled. In case the concern is minor and doesn’t require you to visit our practice, we will set up a one-on-one online session with our expert dental team. They will diagnose your condition on-call or over a video conference and prescribe suitable medication or treatment.
VISITING OUR PRACTICE
When the in-office consultation is scheduled, you will be notified. Since there is a limit on the number of individuals allowed in a dental practice at the same time, it is best to come unaccompanied. This ensures your loved ones’ safety, as well. You may have to wait in your car, rather than the waiting area, as it is best to avoid contact with other patients. Upon arrival, you will see that our staff is wearing masks and following all the protective measures required to keep you safe. We make sure our staff is healthy by conducting regular temperature tests.
You may notice sanitizers placed at frequently used places in our practice so that we can keep our hands clean at all times. Magazines, newspapers, and other common items meant for the patients’ refreshment will be removed to minimize the transmission of the virus. Needless to say, we make sure every work surface and the dental equipment we use are thoroughly sanitized between patients as always.
Rather than being fearful and avoiding dental consultations altogether, it is best to practice caution and seek your dentist’s advice. Reach out to us on-call (832) 939-9999 or by scheduling an online consultation, and we’ll guide you further.
